Unable to Boot from Bootable USB - USB option is not visible in Boot Options
If you are having trouble booting your Laptop or Desktop with bootable USB drive, this post is for you.
In the modern upgraded systems, we have two types of Boot methods i.e. UEFI and LEGACY Boot Modes. I hope most of you all have noticed the same. By default, in most of the systems (as I have noticed), we have UEFI Boot mode as the default option and Legacy Boot Mode is usually disabled. It took me 5-10 minutes of deep analysis to find out why USB option was missing in Boot options.
So here we go...
UEFI or Unified Extensible Firmware Interface is the modern utility and a successor to traditional BIOS Boot Method. It provides many more new features for the advanced hardware which are not available in normal BIOS firmware. So that's why it is always recommended to use this utility to Boot your device.
The below mentioned workaround will help you boot from bootable USB drive.
Legacy Mode supports the BIOS (Basic Input/Output System) firmware compatibility mode which is a solution for this problem. Simply enable it and you'll find that USB Boot option will be visible in Boot Options. Also make sure you disable the Secure Boot Mode which is also enabled by default with UEFI Boot Mode (Although I don't really know if it is mandatory to be done or not but I did it and my purpose was fulfilled).
